About us
Mike aka DJ MDA
DJ | Radio/Podcast Producer
I grew up listening to music that was on during childhood car rides. My mom played 80s & 90s pop and my grandparents played oldies. When I started listening to more than what they had on I fell in love with rap music. My big sister was my portal to accessing raps biggest icons and artists. Over time my favorite artists included Jay-Z and Bay Area legend Andre Nickatina along with other legends like Too Short, E-40, DMX, 2Pac, Eminem and countless others.
I didn’t start DJing until I was in my late 20s. I already loved nightlife scenes and going to venues. I eventually asked DJ Billy Vidal, my brother-n-law, to teach me how to DJ. I hit the ground running and didn’t look back. My creativity and passion surged as I created my own DJ company and worked as a morning show radio producer.
Diggin In Da Crates allows me to put all my talents to use and I get to hang out and talk shit with my two big brothers and mentors DJ Billy Vidal & Naki the Beatman.
